a little chambray to end your day

happy (almost) new year everyone!
i have loved collaborating with sheinside this month.
sheinside is a serious stellar fashion site.
if you imagine it, i can bet it is on the site.
the prices are incredible and things are usually on sale!
i love it because it is short sleeved and although you cant see it in this post,
it only buttons halfway.
it was a blast to style and is a new staple to my wardrobe.

The Buffalo Trend

Happy Christmas Eve!
This holiday season has seriously flown by.
But before I miss the Christmas deadline, I want to share this cute holiday print.
Although it really can be worn before/after the holidays, it is a perfect holiday addition.

The Buffalo Plaid Everyone....
I have been loving the buffalo plaid trend.
It may not be a hot fresh off the market trend, but I love it!
I put together a little polyvore set with this beautiful print.

I also created a Christmas card this year for our sweet friends featuring the pretty plaid.

They are seriously the cutest family ever.
We love them!

Merry Christmas to all of you!
I hope your holidays are filled with love and happiness.

Love Always,
Lauryn.

The Black Swan

I'm not exactly sure what is going on with our winter here in Utah.
It is almost Christmas and pretty much the only snow
we have seen are the little flurries from this photo shoot!
But it made for some pretty fun pictures.
I love the unique print of this midi.
I tried on quite a few shirts,
(that's how my mornings roll)
but I finally decided on all black so the rest of my little ensemble didn't distract from
this beauty.

Happy almost Christmas everyone,
hope the shopping is almost done and families are cozy-ing by the fire.

My First Baby Style Post

A little while ago I did some design work for the cutest little baby shop Golden Coast Baby.
My best friend runs the shop and sells the cutest baby leggings I have ever seen.
The fabric is organic and the patterns are to die for.
Plus she will be adding some bandana bibs to the shop soon!

We traded design work for some leggings.
She has made me a couple of pairs and I. LOVE. THEM.
But I finally got to taking pictures of my little guy in this pair.
I never knew that styling a baby boy could be so much fun!

I know this photo is a little blurry, but these beautiful blue eyes just kill me!

These darling Jordans are a hand me down that baby boy's UNCLE wore when he was a little tyke!

black, white, and gray nursery

I've been pretty excited to share this post with you all.
My little guy is almost 5 months old now.
They really do grow so fast!
While I was pregnant we got his nursery all set for his arrival.
I was totally set on doing a woodland theme with an orange brown and mint then had a complete change of heart and thought a black and white nursery would be awesome!
I had my ideas drawn out on a piece of paper and made it come to life.

I wanted this room to be absolutely perfect.
I had my sights set out for very specific details.
The crib and changing table were ordered from Downeast. I wanted to keep the colors neutral, yet add a little contrast to the black and white.

A good majority of my shopping came from the beloved Target! Baby's sheets, gray blanket, banner, and diaper box were all found at that gem of a store.

I designed all of the prints in the room. A few of them as well as other fun prints can be downloaded instantly at my shop Never Navie.

This awesome mobile was not originally installed in the little guy's room. However, when he began to be more interested in pictures, objects, etc. We thought it would be a fun addition...and it SO has been! He loves it! The wee gallery art cards are the pictures clipped in the mobile. They come in a themed box of animals and they have been a fabulous investment.

and of course some babylit books for our book loving boy.

My favorite part about the entire nursery is the chalkboard wall. It has definitely been more of a thrill for me than for the babe. :) My mom sewed the pillow for me and I painted the canvases. Baby loves the black, white, and gray canvases. He giggles and coos at them when he is supposed to be feeding or sleeping. Such distractions!

I had so much fun putting this nursery together. The black and white is so much fun for the baby and I am so glad we chose it! I can put the teeny one in his crib and he just laughs and giggles at the banner and pictures. Way too much fun!
Happy Saturday!

And We're Back on in 5...4...3...

Well I guess this is it.
The LOVE NOTES blog is back in motion.
Honestly, I don’t know if I am quite ready for this again.
But I mean really, what do I have to lose!

It’s been about a year since my last post announcing my blog leave.
Since then I have
moved twice,
taught a year of kindergarten,
kept up on my etsy shop,
and the best part of all:
HAD A SWEET BABY BOY!

I absolutely LOVE being a momma.
I have been lucky enough to stay home with my baby kid.
he. is. an. angel.

With all my new adventures I have decided to revamp the blog a bit.
It is going to be more of a “lifestyle” blog…
a big pot of everything including mainly:

*fashion (of course)
*art/design
*mommahood
*home décor

So stay in touch.

I’ll be back with much more.
much love,
lauryn
