"g" is for growth and "h" is for hats

hey everyone, hope you had a wonderful weekend. we are back to the abc's of hair! since letter "g" is short, two letters again today! and since letter "h" is our giveaway stop, i will be announcing a winner for these on TUESDAY MORNING.
so be sure to be here. remember, if you would like to be entered into the drawing:

here's your letters!

g is for GROWTH
here are some extraordinarily simple hair growing tips
for those desperate girlies like me who are dying for their hair to just GROWW!
h is for HATS
i picked some hat types that i love these days. hat's are perfect for those
{i don't really want to do my hair} days

turbans
turbans are great right now! might i add, they are not intense...none of you will turn into aladdin with these great wraps.

make your own turban tip: take a piece of fabric that is rectangle shaped, take the fabric behind your head and hold the long sides out by your ears, touch bottom end to bottom of neck, pull upward towards your forehead, tuck in the poking up fabric on top and tie ends in a knot. (sorry no tutorial on this one this post is so long already. please let me know if you want me to create a tutorial for this!)

or, you can always take a scarf and wrap it around a couple of times:

fedoras
confession: i thought i would hate myself in fedoras, but my sister has one (she is always so trendy. love you boo!) and she let me wear one day, and holy cow. i had no idea fedoras were so cute for one, and comfortable for two! it totally fit my head..funny i know, but it was great. i especially love the straw fedoras for fall season! (target has great ones!)

cloche
i am the biggest 20's fan. seriously. i wanna be a flapper girl. cloche hats were HUGE in the twenties. and of course, i still looove them. in fact i wore one in our engagements and love the way it turned out.

this one is me. i got the hat at target last year for around $14 i recall, i know they have a couple cloches now for about the same price, so go check them out! i love them.

just an amazing cloche with a little ribbon. come back twenties. i love you!

sun
sun hats are soo much fun. you can get them ANYWHERE these days. i have seen some darling ones at ross, tj maxx and kohls for a steal. i thought if i got one i would probably feel awkward wearing it since it has a huge brim. but that was not the case ladies.. these hats rock! and hey they block the sun COMPLETELY. and i bet the prices are super great now with fall approaching.
:)

newsboy
i actually do not own a newsboy hat, nor have ever worn one. i think they look stunning on men, and have never tried one myself, but check out j anniston in this little piece. newsie perfection.

mesh trucker
trucker hats are perfect casual hats. i love the height and form of the cap as well as the mesh. here is a tip for shopping for a trucker hat: sneak in the men's section. they have dang cute ones for girls, as weird as that is!

tomorrow morning, come see who our lucky winner is!

  2. I've always loved hats and have been told I can wear them well. I used to rock a turban in my early 20's when I was late for work. :) Gutsy for a white girl! hehe. Anyway, I loved seeing all of the options you shared here. The Growth for hair was fun and well written. Thanks for sharing on Motivated Monday at BeColorful

  5. These are lovely! I am a huge cloche fan as well and look forward to cooler weather so I can wear mine :) In the mean time I'm loving my new sun hat and trying to figure out if I'm bold enough to rock a turban.

  9. Love the cloche hat -I bought one this winter and haven't looked back. I actually got my hair cut short (pixie short) a couple of months ago - and it has been the best thing, my hair is always in good condition and I feel liberated. I still get wonderful comments all the time. I wish I did it earlier!

  12. I love my hair and apparently people love it too. I have had long hair since years and my secret has to be oiling. I oil my hair weekly. I use coconut oil a night prior to the morning I intend to shampoo my hair. I think it works.

We have a link-up party going on - Tea Time Thursdays @ Kreative Korner. I would really appreciate if you'd link up some of your awesome posts there. Hope to see you at the party.
