Five Summer Dress Styles For 2012
With summer just around the corner it’s time to pack away the layers and start showing some skin in a pretty summer dress. But with such a variety of dress trends around this year, it can be difficult to know which styles are going to keep you ahead in the fashion stakes. Let’s take a look at the top five summer dress styles for the 2012 season.

Floral Dresses

The success of floral prints last year is set to continue and the trend will be huge again this summer. Reflecting the freedom and innocence of summers long past, the floral print is sure to keep you looking good whether you’re on the beach, at the park or simply out shopping. For a nice range of floral prints check out the online selection of Ted Baker dresses.

Midi Dresses

Midi dresses are a versatile addition to a summer wardrobe and perfect for creating an effortlessly stylish look. Team with kitten heels or strappy sandals for a summer look that’s great for the office, a quiet drink with your partner or a night out with the girls. Midi dresses are adaptable and easily customised, so take the time to pick out the perfect accessories and you’re sure to have a great outfit for any occasion.

Mini Dresses

Perfect for showing off those toned, tanned legs in the summer months, mini dresses are a great way to inject some confidence into your style. Try with a pair of gladiator sandals and a well-worn jacket to bring your look bang up to date. Look out for mini dresses in this summer’s favourite pastel colours to complement a deep tan.

Fluid Maxi Dresses

The return of the fluid maxi dress, complete with deep slit along the thigh, is a great way to mark the style transition from spring to summer. Keep an eye for organza, satin and semi transparent materials for a feminine and flattering finish. You can take your pick of prints, but remember that soft pastels and bold florals are set to be the major trends of the summer.

Asymmetrical Dresses

The asymmetrical dress, with its shorter front and longer rear hemline, is going to make a big comeback this summer. With a huge variety within the style itself, you’re sure to never get bored with an asymmetrical dress.

  2. Oh, that's the sweetest story on how you met! My neighbours were also very young when they met. They are married for years now and have three children, and still love each other as much as back when they were in high school. I wish you as much happiness as they have, and even more. :*
Nice post about the dresses, you really gave me ideas for summer shopping choices! And I loved your Sugarlips look, pure awesomeness!
